Cocktail Social Sandy and I will host a cocktail gathering with hors d’oeuvres and desserts at our home: 4140 West Hamilton Road (615-876-3781). Transportation will be provided between the hotel and our home.   Friday, July 11, 2008   Nashville City Tour - 9AM to 1:30 PM Guided bus tour of Nashville’s historic sites and points of interest.  Please RSVP if you will be attending this event. The maximum number to accommodate is 55. Free Time The hospitality suite, or activities on your own until about 4 PM.  Choice of:   Grand Ole Opry or General Jackson Dinner Cruise That evening, you may wish to attend either the Grand Ole Opry (people come from all over the world to hear and see this American folk music), or you may want take the General Jackson Dinner Cruise on the Cumberland River (information will be provided later on these two activities such that you can contact them should you choose to do so). We will assure that transportation is provided between the hotel and the event once we know the number of participants.       Saturday, July 12. 2008   Historic Black Nashville Tour  - 9:00 AM-1:00 PM A guided tour of of Nashville’s four historically Black universities, i.e., Fisk, Meharry, Tennessee State and American Baptist College. Vanderbilt University will be included in the tour. Please RSVP if you will be attending this event. The maximum number to accommodate is 55. Lunch We will have lunch at Swett’s Cafeteria, renown for its home cooking for over 50 years; it’s very popular with entertainers, athletes, politicians and others.  Shopping - 1:00 PM-4:30 PM   Visit to Opry Mills Shopping Mall will be available for those interested or you can have down-time on your own and/or meet and greet in the hospitality suite.  Family Banquet - 6:00 PM-11:00 PM The family Reunion banquet takes place in the nearby Millennium Maxwell House Hotel. Transportation from the SpringHill Suites to the Maxwell House will be arranged. Please RSVP if you will be attending the banquet.   Sunday, July 13, 2008  Departure The Reunion will conclude at the hotel with groups/families having departing breakfasts, exchange of farewells and bon voyages until our next Hill Family Reunion in 2010.
